Ted Cruz Nails Something Fundamental About Donald Trump And 2024

(CNN) — Ted Cruz's relationship with Donald Trump has been, interesting to watch over the past few years.

That during the 2016 presidential campaign, Cruz was one of the most outspoken critics of Trump. He called Trump a "sniveling coward," a "pathological liar," and "utterly amoral." He also pointedly refused to endorse Trump at the Republican National Convention that year.

Trump wasn't blameless. He suggested Cruz's wife was unattractive, that Cruz hid behind religion and that Cruz's father might have been involved in the assassination of John F. Kennedy.

The two Republicans eventually made up -- largely because Cruz bent over backward to make nice with Trump because he wanted to run for president again someday and knew that he couldn't do that if he was a sworn enemy of the former President.

Well, someday is now -- as evidenced by Cruz's trip to New Hampshire this week to stump for House candidate Karoline Leavitt, who is running in a Republican primary in the state's 1st District.

While visiting the early presidential primary state, Cruz said something strikingly honest about both his ambitions and the broader state of the 2024 Republican race.   "There are a lot of candidates out there feeling their oats and boasting, 'I'm running no matter what. I don't care what Donald Trump says.' Anyone who says that is lying," Cruz told the Washington Examiner. "That's an idiotic statement for someone to make who's actually thinking about running."

"I don't know what Trump's going to decide -- nobody does. Anybody who tells you they do is making things up. The whole world will change depending on what Donald Trump decides. That's true for every candidate. That's true of every potential candidate."

Everything that happens -- including Cruz campaigning in New Hampshire and Florida Sen. Rick Scott stumping in Iowa this weekend -- before Trump makes up his mind is a sort of pre-show.   I could see former Vice President Mike Pence, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and even Cruz getting into a race with Trump. (It goes without saying all of those people would be for sure in the mix if Trump shocks the world and decides against running again.)

FROM THE TED CRUZ I LOVE MYSELF WEBSITE  —  IN THE BEGINNING  —  Ted, his wife Heidi, their two daughters Caroline and Catherine, and his entire family have been blessed to live the American Dream—the idea that anyone, through hard work and determination, can achieve anything. Ted is committed to ensuring every family has that same opportunity.

Ted grew up in Texas. His father, Rafael, fled Cuba after being tortured and imprisoned and came to Texas with just $100 sewn into his underwear. Rafael got a job washing dishes making 50 cents an hour and learned English.

He worked hard and attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning a degree in mathematics. He later started a small business in the oil and gas industry. Today, Rafael is a pastor in Dallas.

Ted’s mother, Eleanor, was born in Delaware to an Irish and Italian working-class family. She became the first in her family to go to college, graduating from Rice University with a degree in mathematics. She broke boundaries at Shell as one of the few women working as a computer programmer at the dawn of the computer age.

After working at the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission during the Bush administration, Ted moved back home to be the Solicitor General of Texas. As Solicitor General, Ted argued eight cases before the Supreme Court of the United States, and defended our freedom of speech, our right to keep and bear arms, and our religious liberty in courts across the nation. Following his service as Solicitor General, Ted returned to private practice, where he continued to litigate high stakes cases and argued his ninth case before the Supreme Court.

Ted and Heidi also started their family, welcoming Caroline and Catherine.

OBSTRUCTIONISM 101 —  In 2013, Ted was sworn into the United States Senate, where he has been a passionate fighter for limited government, economic growth, and national security.

He has authored dozens of legislative measures that have been signed into law, including expanding 529 college savings accounts to allow parents to save for K-12 public, private, and religious education

Repealing Obamacare’s individual mandate imposing sanctions on terrorists who use civilians as human shields

Designating North Korea as a state sponsor of terrorism
Targeting Putin’s Nord Stream 2 pipeline through multiple bills that halted construction and kept it stalled,

Reauthorizing and reforming NASA, holding dictatorships in South America accountable, and ensuring the availability of additional records to help solve civil rights cold cases.

He is also leading the fight in the Senate to support Texas jobs, rein in Big Tech

Secure the border, and fundamentally reassess the U.S.-China relationship and hold the Chinese Communist Party accountable for covering up the coronavirus pandemic, committing human rights atrocities, and engaging in censorship, propaganda, and espionage in the United States. Then came the Washington two-step obstructionist program and he is a big part of it —   Enough bullsh*t from his website - let’s get real with these obstructionists—

THE 2022 REPUBLICAN SEVEN LEVEL “ SCUMBAGS"

 AND TWO “ SCUM-BAGETTES"

And the real party he represents with a group of cohort moron obstructionists trying to make a name for themselves-For 2021 — 2022 -  YOU, not me voted for  them.

Awarded To:  These Republicans who manage  “ The Masters Of Disasters” — A unique group who can waste millions of Congressional dollars in committees that are trying to solve problems.

With a ton of competition,  from former greats like Nunes and outstanding scumbags in Congress like Gaetz, Greene, Jordan, Boebert, and Little Louie “ The Schmuck ‘ Gohmert,  it spurs him on to greater f*ck-ups  on the national scene as he is true blatant scumbag Republican waste of time and woefully short on ideas and development  —

He was chosen by Governor Abbott who should be hanged at the Texas border with Mexico.  Invite all of Mexico to watch!  Governor Abbott and his hand selected team run Texas into the ground—

As Alfred E. has said on occasion  Abbot and Cruz are a comedy team, they are really funny people pretending to be normal, they just have a habit of saying and doing the wrong things at the wrong times.  So it takes really stupid naive people to keep voting for them.

CRUZ gives up Canadian Citizenship.   Canada declared a National Holiday.  Actually we were hoping rather than he giving up his Canadian Citizenship, he would of chosen to give up his American citizenship.   Missed opportunity. In reality, the truth is it was hoped he would just give up breathing.

We know all about Teddy Cruz, his voters are Texans that stupid to keep this moron’s lying idiot fact-sheet in Congress?  Well, it’s very possible, since several other morons came from that state — Sometimes it’s a battle for stupid when he and Jim Jordan speak on the same day.

We decided to give them both the big dick.  Both contribute nothing of value to our governments except lie, embellish, obstruct and should have been turned over to VLAD THE IMPALER a long time ago.

ED:  VLAD THE IMPALER said hold off :  We have so many of GOP traitors we have run out of Impaling sticks — we are restocking now for the mid term liars --

In February, Torres-Estrada also posted a meme to his Facebook page, which was public until Monday night, saying Republican Sen. Ted Cruz was "MISSING" after he left his home state for Cancun, Mexico, as Texas suffered from widespread power outages in the wake of a one of the worst brutal winter storms to hit Texas. It’s not clear if that post is part of the investigation.  It was true, a cop out leaving during a horrific event in his state during the disaster.    ( Investigation — That was true too and he left his dog alone in the house)

(FROM CNN)  02/01/2022

According to a report from the New York Times, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) is taking withering fire for delaying dozens of appointments to the State Department and leaving multiple ambassadorship appointees in a holding pattern as he squabbles with President Joe Biden.

According to one Democratic senator, Cruz's power play is both unprecedented in its scope and is putting the nation's security at risk.

As the Times' Michael Crowley writes, Cruz appears to be using his disagreement with the Biden administration over the Nord Stream 2 pipeline that will transport gas from Russia to Germany to raise his political profile once again as he looks toward the 2024 GOP presidential nomination race.

Noting that the last Senate confirmation vote occurred on Aug. 11 with the confirmation of former Senator Ken Salazar (D-CO) as the ambassador to Mexico, the report adds that Biden administration is furious that the Texas Republican is "...delaying dozens of State Department nominees, including 59 would-be ambassadors, and vowing to block dozens more. Democrats call Mr. Cruz's actions an abuse of the nomination process and the latest example of Washington's eroding political norms. They also say he is endangering national security at a time when only about a quarter of key national security positions have been filled.

"Texas Sen. Ted Cruz called President Joe Biden's commitment to nominate the first Black woman to the Supreme Court "offensive" and said that by doing so the President is telling other Americans "you are ineligible."

"The fact that he's willing to make a promise at the outset, that it must be a Black woman, I gotta say that's offensive. You know, you know Black women are what, 6% of the US population?

He's saying to 94% of Americans, 'I don't give a damn about you, you are ineligible'," Cruz said on an episode of his podcast "Verdict with Ted Cruz" that was released on Sunday. In 2019, Black women represented 7% of the US population, according to the US Census Bureau.

The Republican continued, "And he's also saying -- it's actually an insult to Black women. If he came and said, 'I'm gonna put the best jurist on the court and he looked at a number of people and he ended up nominating a Black woman, he could credibly say, 'OK I'm nominating the person who's most qualified.' He's not even pretending to say that he he's saying, 'If you're a White guy, tough luck. If you're a White woman, tough luck. You don't qualify.’"

The comments from Cruz come as other Republicans have criticized Biden's decision and some have concluded that his nominee to the high court, who the President has promised will be a Black woman, may not be the most qualified person and will likely lean far-left in political views.

Speaking on Monday at a conservative student organization event in Palm Beach, Florida, Sen. Ted Cruz warned that Democrats will become "obstructionists at a level we've never seen" under a Donald Trump administration.

In what has to be a giant fit of irony, the Texas lawmaker — who single-handedly shut the government down because Democrats wouldn't repeal their signature health care law — predicted to Turning Point USA that Democrats will "filibuster absolutely everything they can," according to Texas Tribune reporter Patrick Svitek.

Apparently Cruz, whose stunt was described by a Senate aide as "a toddler’s version of legislating," is now worried that the minority party will resort to what was essentially the only page of the Republican Party playbook from 2010 to now. Since 2010 GOPers have filibustered hundreds of bills passed by the House of Representatives explicitly because they wanted to make Obama "a one-term president."

Cruz warned that Democrats have been "radicalized" by the election of a man whose sole policy agenda seems to be “ build a wall so Mexicans can't get in" and "keep scary Muslims away from me.”

In 2013, when Cruz was thinking of campaigning for president himself, he told ABC News that purity tests and getting more "radicalized" were good things — especially when they benefitted Ted Cruz and the Republican Party: "Any time Republicans nominate a candidate for president who runs as a strong conservative, we win. And when we nominate a moderate who doesn’t run as a conservative, we lose."

So, in short: Ted Cruz is either tone-deaf or a master at flaming. Or maybe he just doesn't want Democrats to crib his moves.

Veterans Call Out Ted Cruz - He Says Army Ad:
Shows “ Woke, Emasculated Military”

Veterans criticized Republican Senator Ted Cruz on Thursday after he complained about a US Army recruiting ad that was featured in a viral clip comparing it with a Russian military ad.

The video starts with the Russian ad, depicting soldiers doing pushups, parachuting out of an airplane and aiming their weapons as dramatic music reaches a crescendo in the background. It then pivots quickly to an animated Army clip of a female soldier raised by two mothers who decides to join the US Army.

The video was originally shared on TikTok and now has more than 3 million views on Twitter. Cruz was apparently not a fan and tweeted out, "Holy crap. Perhaps a woke, emasculated military is not the best idea...."

The Senator faced backlash on social media from veterans, lawmakers and others following his remarks. Retired Army National Guard lieutenant colonel and Democratic Senator Tammy Duckworth, who lost both of her legs while serving in Iraq, took issue with Cruz's comment.

"Holy crap," Duckworth tweeted. "Perhaps a U.S. Senator shouldn't suggest that the *Russian* military is better than the American military that protected him from an insurrection he helped foment?"    VoteVets, a political group that supports veterans and promotes liberal causes, also criticized Cruz.   "Ted Cruz attacks a US Army soldier for telling her story, says he prefers Russians. Because Ted Cruz is a sedition-loving traitor," the group wrote.

Amy McGrath, a former U.S. Marine who ran against Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell last year, also took aim at Cruz.  “ Dear @tedcruz-  you have no idea what being a warrior is all about. Signed, all women who have worn the uniform to protect your right to be an ass,” she wrote.

Former Missouri Senate candidate and Army National Guard veteran Jason Kander questioned Cruz's toughness.   "You can do what like seven pushups I'm guessing?" he tweeted.

Cruz responded to critics saying the US has the "greatest military on earth," but pinned blame on Democrats and media for "trying to turn them into pansies.”

His spokesperson Erin Perrine told CBS News in a statement that Cruz "passionately supports the brave men and women of the United States military and has repeatedly expressed concerns that Democrat politicians, left wing bureaucrats, and the media are politicizing our armed forces to promote a fringe woke agenda based on identity politics.”

"Our military should be focused on winning wars, and we endanger our national security and our service members when they focus on anything else," Perrine added.

However, he wasn't the only one who took issue with the video. An Army official told the Army Times that the comment section of the Army ad on YouTube was removed because of "negative commentary."

The ad features Army Corporal Emma Malonelord  , who was raised in California by her two mothers. She decided to join the Army after meeting a recruiter as a student at University of California, Davis.
