THE PERSON OF FAITH and POLITICS
PERSONS OF FAITH SEE GOD AS A TOOL OF CONTROL
I have seen a lot of abuse and misuse of both of these foundations of our culture. The grey mass forming where some would merge the laws of the land and the laws of GOD is not new, it is the reason for our existence. The reason those pilgrims left the old world and ventured into the unknown for a better way.
Mans freedom's, and beliefs, in some cases led to the great declarations of our time. The Magna Charter literally established a middle class, the Declaration of Independence let to the establishment of the United States.
But there is a dark side. Religion has brought us the Inquisition, the Pogroms, the Crusades, all challenged free belief. Today the theocracies, the FAR RIGHTEOUS in our world like the Taliban, ISIS, ISIL, all seek to control.
I'm not just picking on the followers of the Catholic Church, it's a very hot topic now as some groups intend to sue the Vatican to the world court. It will play out when it does.
But the pain of thousands needs to be answered and it is found in all religions. All religions have extreme factions in one way or another. Muslims have ten or eleven extreme movements, but so do the Christians.
My beloved Florida has more Youth Ministers, Choir leaders, and pseudo Christian pedophiles per capita in the jail for molesting minors than many other states, and they are all over the map in the various Christian denominations, sects, specialties, beliefs, dialects, languages, or D&B ratings. All of them have participants but unfortunately one group dominates the field.
Thinking out loud, it's about time they let the Priests marry. It's a strange belief that has "those coaching marriage have had nothing to do with it". The answer lies in the book, the Da Vinci code. After reading it and seeing the excellent movie by Tom Hanks, one understands the secrecy, and mystery of the Church and it's goal to subjugate women.
The usual Church answer is that if the Priests were to marry, they would not be able to service the spiritual community as they would have marriage duties and devotions of their own. Every other religion has enough staff to handle things in time of need and the simple answer is it would bring more into the realm and they might have to pay or provide for them. Follow the money.
Again the thought comes to mind and that is the counseling Priest give to those getting married… what experience does the Priest have?
THE PERSON OF FAITH DESCRIBED
What exactly is a “person of faith”? It depends. If we define it simplistically: “ A person of faith is one who is guided by a set of rules and ideals that supposedly creates a path of ultimate righteousness in their daily walks in life”. It is their personal guarantee to you of their beliefs.
There is more than one explanation or level for a person of faith. And even the delivery, the phrase and the cause of the belief has it’s own interpretations.
- One kind believes that our lives, the earth, the moon, the stars and ultimately the universe are controlled by a deity referred to as God, Jehovah, the Lord, or Allah based on your religious conscription, birth and training. Rules are explained in the Torah, the Bible in all versions and there are a lot of interpretations of the Bible, or the Qur’an Without this Supreme Being, there would basically be nothing.
- The second person of faith is one who believes in humanity in relation to his God. This is accepting the humanity as not perfect. It has its limitations and that there are things he does not understand nor can change. He realizes these higher-level human traits he is gifted with, combined with logical thinking, will guide him in his endeavors. After that it is out of his hands but not out of his reach. He can ask for help or a sign.
- The third person of faith is the Politically Declined Person of Faith. Or the “Person of faith for convenience in political or social up—manship”. They are easy to spot, they remind you about every half hour, “That they are a person of faith”. They are the faith enforcer, chosen by divine intervention to save you too, and God’s ordained and official broadcaster.
POLITICAL TACTICS
You mean you hadn't noticed it. Unfortunately their devotion is not by action, or deed, for which they would be recognized as a good person, but by their ongoing public statement, "I am a person of faith". They want you to side with them simply because you are a good person, you should buy their goodness, and they don’t have to prove it. So naturally, the faith issue popped up in politics as it denotes “good people” in a daily ongoing race through the city landfill of garbage and filth called ‘politics’.
The “person of faith” is the latest tool of those who can’t stand basically the shifts in politics in this country. Their side did not win the last election and accept the changes that were voted in. So the holy divinity is invoked and the curses and needles in the dolls begin. It doesn’t affect them, as they are a person of faith. Many of our pre-election runoffs are in states where the Evangelical Right Wing, the foundation of the Republican party, a real screwball group of God-loving Christians seem to think this is the United States of Jesus.
With Obama, “He’s not my President” takes on new meaning, They accuse him of not even being an American. by the “Birthers”, who deny he is a citizen, by the “Mucslimsites’, bashers who claim he is a Muslim, he is Christian, and the hate by association slant from comments made by supreme nutcase and R- Congresswoman “Bat-shit Crazy” Michele Bachman who during an interview on Hardball criticized President Obama because she is very concerned that he Barack Obama may have anti-American views”.
FAITH MODES
We are of the left or right, conservative vs liberal, Republican, Independent or Democrat (get RID of them all ) and a hundred combinations, like fiscal conservative, matrix holistic methodologists, moderate conservative radicals and fiducialisticly ignorant troglodytes. Tags force people to take sides and like Congress tags have a very low approval rating. Tags discourage people from learning about the issue and the truth. You are simply something you hang a hat on.
It's time for earthly action by earthly people since I think God has been overworked and the requisitions are falling on tired ears. He is saying "You work it out this time, you used up all your free E-passes". In just this past year, we have had many, noble persons of faith, suddenly go faithless.
- Pre-faith is the mode of operation when they want something from you. Like your vote, and your money.
- Pro-faith is the use of faith on an ongoing basis where it enters into everything they blab about defining, the Godly walk they are on.
- Post-faith. Post faith is when one of these crooks gets caught and suddenly found faith. Just like those on death row. Faith really is worn on the sleeve at times.
RECENT POLITICAL PERSONS OF FAITH:
SENATOR ENSIGN - In my view the Ensign matter as nothing more than a sex scandal given that the ethics issues surfaced only after the senator confessed to an extramarital affair with a former campaign aide.
I guess his position on the board of a group known as “Promise Keepers” had little significance in his choice of lovers. Indiscretions obviously do not apply to those in Congress I guess and they have a free hands-on policy… Till they get caught.
There are larger and more serious issues that the FBI and Senate ethics committee have under investigation involving a $96,000 payment Sen. Ensign’s parents made in April 2008 to his lover, possibly to keep quiet.
GOV. MARK SANFORD - Gov. Mark Sanford (Photo left) the Governor who serves on the Senate Ethics committee side, started singing his favorite song "Don't cry for me Argentina". He is on a committee that is involved with moral ethics, what a conflict of interest!
While supposedly finding his head on a walk-about on the Appalachian Trail by way of Argentina, he disclosed his soul mate was more than a cab ride away. His paramour and soul mate lives in Argentina and the airplane tickets don’t lie. His wife has sued for divorce and he refuses to relinquish his position as governor. What a cheesy bastard!
THE FRIDGE: REP. WILLIAM JEFFERSON - William Perry is a former professional American football player. He is best known for his years as a defensive lineman for the Chicago Bears. He was popularly known as “The Refrigerator” or, abbreviated, “The Fridge”. A great, noble and like-able football player.
Last SuperBowl took on new meaning since the Saints did more for their state than one of their Representatives. AKA, the "FRIDGE SCANDAL"
"The Fridge" in Louisiana was a place to keep money. Bribe money. And Rep. William Jefferson was found in a sting with $90,000 dollars in his refrigerator. Opportunity knocks as he recommends Saran Wrap to prevent freezer burn and probably in the future might do a commercial for them, from his cell.
He claimed they were just “frozen assets”. He is under appeal but was asked to leave Congress. Please read his forthcoming cookbooks “ From Frozen assets to Cooked Goose" and “Me and Bubba: Cooking for Two in a Cell”.
The sad part is, he is not alone because if we put all those in public office who have robbed from the poor and kept it, Sherwood Forrest would be overflowing and totally unsuitable for condominium development because of the stench.
REP. MARK FOLEY - In 2006, it was revealed that Republican Congressman Mark Foley sent sexually explicit emails to an underage Congressional pages. I could fill this page with information because it happened close to our district. I won't, it's too despicable.
In Congress: Foley was one of the foremost opponents of child pornography. Foley had served as chairman of the House Caucus on Missing and Exploited Children. The hypocrisy here can only be termed HYPO-CRAZY, beyond anything the mind can imagine. Another case of the coyote guarding the henhouse.
HISTORY: He introduced a bill, coined the “ hild Modeling Exploitation prevention Act of 2002" to outlaw web sites featuring sexually suggestive images of preteen children, saying that “These websites are nothing more than a fix for pedophiles.”
As it was written, the bill would have prohibited commercial photography of children, and it failed due to the unmanageable burden it would have presented to the legitimate entertainment industry. But, Foley's legislation to change federal sex offender laws was supported by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, America's Most Wanted host John Walsh, and a number of victims' rights groups. President Bush signed it into law as part of the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006.
SEN. JOHN EDWARDS - Former disgraced Presidential candidate Edwards, another person of faith, fathered a child with one of his handlers, lied to just about everybody in the US about the affair, denied, and denied again all this occurring while his wife was battling cancer.
As one who lost a loved one after fighting side by side with my wife for five years battling this horrific disease his actions fit in my address book under scum-bags.
In a new book just released by Andrew Young, Young says the ambitious Ex-Senator stopped at nothing to hide his indiscretions, including urging his girlfriend to abort their child. Even as he cheated on his wife Elizabeth with campaign videographer Rielle Hunter, Edwards refused to consider a divorce because he still loved his wife, and partly because voters did, too.
CONVENIENCE CLOSER FOR THE PERSON OF FAITH
Prayer was like a closing tool for the intelligence laden like former President Bush. Everything that went wrong during this administration required divine intervention to absolve it. His excuses, what excuses? Here it comes, “Laura and I will pray for you”. Katrina victims need not apply; he burnt that one out long ago. It’s called the “Gods Will Be Done” close.
Blame not, the dumb planning; one-sided thinking; cronistic appointments; partisan delegating; poor officiating; Prayer is used as an end around excuse tool. When you play the prayer card you end the game.
You can then leave the room gracefully and turn the blame over to the divine big guy and you keep your votes. After all, you are the “good guy” invoking God. It’s easy to say, “We’ll offer prayer and do all the righteous things" so our part of the blame is relinquished.
He sure is funny in a devastating way. Eight years of pure unrehearsed mayhem on his watch. He probably will be remembered in history as the verbally dyslexic, funny President who on his tour brought us;
- Two wars both lasting as long as or longer than WWII;
- Destruction of not only our economy, but also helped ruin the world’s economy.
- The most unfavorable opinion of us at any time in history by our allies.
- A complete disregard for the Citizen laws and the Constitution but not limited to a significant dose of wiretapping, torture.
- The stopping of stem cell research; which is a personal atrocity to me as I lost my wife whereas the stem cell of today would of helped.
- Un-Declared victories.
- The worst choice of appointments in the history of this country. Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Gonzalez, Mike Brown, the list goes on.
Even the German Chancellor HERR SCHRODER OF GERMANY had said “We rightly criticize that in most Islamic states, the role of religion for society and the character of the role of law are not clearly separated; but we fail to recognize that in the U.S.A., the Christian fundamentalists and their interpretation of the Bible have similar tendencies.
THE ONE REAL PERSON OF FAITH 
Lt. General Russell L. Honoré
I would put my faith in this man. His name is Lt. General Russell L. Honoré, aka "The Ragin' Cajun”. The hero of Katrina, a hands on grunt who started with a GED. Totally schooled by and rose through the ranks in the military.
Achieves a Masters degree in the service, the Commander of Joint Task Force Katrina, sweeps in like the Seventh Calvary and restores order and saves lives.
More “ Getter done guts" than the entire city, state and federal leadership. For our future, we need people with this down to earth intelligence and integrity, quality people who love their country, and with a large amount of vitality. Strong hands, strong conviction in this country and focused.
And none of these hero’s invoked public prayer. The cameras caught him telling in choice language, a grunt to lower his weapon. “We are here to save them; not shoot them”. He turned the entire mission around. The hero’s did not wear it on their sleeve; you see it's a personal thing. It’s in your heart, in your soul and it works every time for the real believer.
Those that did their job had the magic embedded in their belief and it was belief that got them through it. And the people knew it.
When elected you swear an oath to this country that takes precedent over all others. The founding fathers knew that the order was Country, God, Family and so forth, a political position missed the point if God was first because God has his own agenda and everyone thinks they are on the inside track. How wrong..
In political or the ranks of the military, if you accept rank or office, you accept the role the focus is on Country and then the other two God and Family, follow. Gods not that fickle, he knows your heart better than you. That was one of the reasons for the separation of Church and State.
You can believe in God with your deeds and Defend your country with your heart. It works both ways.
