How A Draft Dodging Coward And Liar Can Change A World Foreverā¦Ā
This past week, on US President Donald Trumpās watchĀ RussiaĀ andĀ ChinaĀ have effectively re-aligned the coming world order. They didn't do it together, but both took advantage of uncertainty and unpredictability that Trump has helped create.
Itās far from clear that the next US President will be able to roll back the consequences of this week, which leave both PresidentsĀ Vladimir PutinĀ in Moscow andĀ Xi JinpingĀ in Beijing more decisively in control of their own countries and more able to act assertively. Ā In other words,Ā TrumpĀ has made an indelible mark on the world -- and it may not be for the good.

It is no coincidence that Putin and Xi have cemented their grip on cherished goals, as the clock runs down on Trumpās first, and hopefully only, term in office. Ā Four more years will destroy the American dream.
This past week, in a referendum on constitutional revisions so predictable that copies were on sale before the vote, Putin has effectively been made President for life.Ā
As Xi hasĀ done last year and moved equally ruthlessly, taking control of Hong Kong through a new national security law, while telling US allies Canada, Australia and the UK to keep out of Chinaās internal affairs.
Both seem to be of the view the US has neither the will nor the consistency to put up resistance. Indeed, Trump's White House gave evidence of exactly that this week, floundering for a coherent response to allegations Russia paid the Taliban to kill US forces in Afghanistan. The Russian Embassy in Washington and the Taliban have both denied the claims.

Russia Is His Bank Ā ā Ā As David Ignatius wrote in The Washington Post PutinĀ āĀ is in the payback business. He believes the United States destroyed his former country, the Soviet Union. He likes the United States to feel pain." He now has had plenty of years for more payback.
Former senior US officials with a very different take. They thoughtĀ T-RUMPĀ āĀ delusionalāĀ about his ability to bend other leaders to his agenda, believing he couldĀ āĀ either charm, jawbone or bully almost any foreign leader into capitulating to his will." Ā Words and thoughts, no deeds from a very sick man.
Just so you knowā¦Mr. Putin and the Russian National Bank VRB guaranteed T-RUMPS loans for Golf Courses and Hotels from theĀ DeutscherĀ Bank whenĀ NOĀ US banks would factor himā¦due to theĀ bankruptciesĀ he caused and that he laughed at them after sixĀ bankruptciesĀ and 3500 lawsuits. Ā

Now you know theĀ Russian connection, so he paid Putin with Syria, Crimea, Black Sea Ports for the Russian Navy, Ā Ignored attacks on the Ukraine, and laundered money in theĀ T-RUMP towers for the .Ā Oligarchs who are Putin friends. Ā

T-RUMP admires Putin, poison, power andĀ perpetude, Ā and all because Putin might be the richest man in the worldĀ becauseĀ of what he hasĀ stolen from the Russian peopleĀ andĀ theirĀ subserviantĀ countries under the heel of the USSR confederation. All in Swiss banks and untouchable. Ā Thats where the NAZIās hid their cash for a rainy day. Ā It rained bombsā¦instead. Ā Im sure the Russian people would like the billions for food and housingā¦
VRBĀ is a joint venture between the two leading banks in Vietnam andĀ Russia, Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), accounts for 50% and Bank for Foreign Trade ofĀ RussiaĀ (VTB) with 50% of chartered capital.
This is the collusion and the main reason T-RUMP befriends Putin so willingly. Ā Sort of a scumbag to Scumbag love affair. In return Putin can launder any money he wishes that he robbed from the Soviet allies when Russia was a confederation. Ā Most of theĀ T-RUMP tower in NY is owned by the Russians who live there, and serve as an escape if they have to leave Russia due to assassination, killing, bombs or anything else Putin dreams up. Ā VRB is a partnership with Vietnam being most of their weaponry is furnished by them and China.
Again,Ā PutinĀ āĀ justĀ outplays" him, said a high-level administration official -- comparing the Russian leader to a chess grandmaster and Trump to an occasional player of checkers. While Putin "destabilizes the West," said this source, the President of the United States "sits there and thinks he can build himself up enough as a businessman and tough guy that Putin will respect him." (At times, the Putin-Trump conversations sounded like "two guys in a steam bath," a source added.)Ā
In separate interviews, two high-level administration officials familiar with most of theĀ T-RUMPĀ Putin calls said the President naively elevated RussiaĀ āĀ a second-rate totalitarian state with less than 4% of the world's GDP -- and its authoritarian leader almost to parity with the United States and its President by undermining the tougher, more realistic view of Russia expressed by the US Congress, American intelligence agencies and the long-standing post-war policy consensus of the US and its European allies.
" Trump gives away the advantage that was hard won in the Cold War," said one of the officials -- in part by "giving Putin and Russia a legitimacy they never had," the official said. "He's given Russia a lifeline -- because there is no doubt that they're a declining power ... Heās playing with something he doesnāt understand and he's giving them power that they would use aggressively." Ā Ā Eg. Syria, potentially Ukraine, Crimea, Black Sea ports etcā¦done deal
Both officials cited Trump's decision to pull US troops out of Syria -- a move that benefited Turkey as well as Russia -- as perhaps the most grievous example.Ā āHe gave away the store,"Ā one of them said.Ā
BigĀ frickin hero and tough with womenā¦Ā wonder how he treated those Russian Hookers in the Golden Shower⦠itās all coming out now⦠in the Senate Congressional Memoir of 1000Ā pages ofĀ CollusionĀ and lying to Congress under oath. And three books soon to be brought out before theĀ election.Ā
Heās toughest in the phone calls with those he looks at as weaklings and weakest with the ones he ought to be tough with.ā Just like a third grade bully and coward that he isā¦Thats all he knows, after the thirdĀ grade Dads money took over⦠Fred just bought the schools with bribes he sent Donald too. Ā Thats how scumbags teach their kidsā¦
Russian Fake News Ā āĀ Ā Simple, no one will lend him money in New York ⦠so he sells all his condos to Russians and uses their ( now laundered) money to support his buildings⦠The cash is handled through Deutscher bank and co-signed or backed by the Russian VDB bank⦠thats why Putin is such a good fiend⦠friend⦠Putin owns Donaldā¦

T-Rump Allows Russia Ā ā Ā Trumpās " Fawning over authoritarian strongmen, his ignorance of history and lack of preparation" jeopardized US national security. Ā Whether it's Putin's payback or Xi's decision to violate and chip away at the Hong Kong agreement signed with the UK in 1984, both leaders appear to see opportunities.

Go back three years. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov dropped into the Oval Office the day after Trump fired James Comey as FBI director. Comey was overseeing the investigation into allegations of Russian election meddling. An official Russian photographer caught the bonhomie, as Trump told his visitors: "I just fired the head of the FBI. He was crazy, a real nut job."
Two months later, Trump met Putin -- alone -- on the margins of the G20 summit. The White House trumpeted the encounter as a success, highlighting a new ceasefire deal in Syria. The Russians cynically used the deal to freeze the conflict, allowing the Assad regime backed by Russia to pick off rebel-held areas one-by-one.
Trump could have protested, ripped up the deal, forged a new US policy on Syria that would have crimped Russia's growing influence in the Middle East. Instead he bought the lie. Ā It would be a recurring theme. Trump's former national security adviser John Bolton recalls in his new book "The Room Where It Happened" Trump's 2018 meeting with Putin in Helsinki, Finland.
"Putin had to be laughing uproariously at what he had gotten away with," writes Bolton, after Trump accepted Putin's assurances there had been no Russian interference in the 2016 US campaign.
So fast forward to this year as Putin,Ā in power for 20 years, needed a constitutional fix to hold on for longer. He appears to calculate that despite tightened US sanctions over his invasion of Ukraine, and the poisoning of exiled former agent Sergei Skripal in the UK,Ā T-RUMPĀ won't push back for what he does at home. Ā Ā He was right. He is now effectively President for life, hoping to emulate Soviet leaders by stepping down only into his grave.

Ā
Lemmings live like that⦠Iām frank, crude and harsh, I have had enough of him, you deserve crap, Ā you voted for itā¦Xiās experience withĀ T-RUMPĀ has been different. Tangled in a trade war, he has had to calculate Trumpās real intent: on money, human rights issues, such as the Uyghurs or Hong Kong, and simply stopping the rise of the world's next superpower. Ā A diplomat, who had spent many years in Europe, told me in very precise terms thatĀ T-RUMPĀ was intentionally preventing China taking its rightful place in the world as a high-tech advanced economy.
I can be sure of what heād say now as the Trump administration tries to persuade allies not to allow Huawei's 5G technology into their digital bloodstream. Ā But those allies are less willing to say no, partly because of Chinaās commercial power but also because their relationships with the US have frayed.
Even the Umglicks, noted fourth world underdeveloped, not so bright till they found fire⦠had anĀ expression. Ā ā He who first burns a bridge across a deep ravine should not try to cross that bridge ā
ā Moreover burnt timbers may lack strengthā¦ā they were very observant and mentioned this at the funerals of those they toasted who were hauled out of the ravineā¦
Only this week German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who Bernsteinās sources say was berated byĀ T-RUMPĀ in phone calls, appeared to reject Trumpās China tactics, saying, Ā āĀ Only together can the 27 EU member countries have enough weight to achieve ambitious deals with China." Ā Ā While Trump has been applauded for confronting China on its trade policies, commercial espionage and intellectual property theft, his tactics face heavy criticism.Ā
"Now the challenge for the president and his successors is to persuade Beijing, through enhanced US power projection, more able alliances, and adroit diplomacy, that the United States will grow ever stronger in Asia and, with its allies and friends, will robustly confront destabilizing Chinese actions."
All of this will have been in Xi's calculations about Trump, whether he is an existential threat to China's rise to be the world's superpower, or a prelude to a smarter adversary with the same goal.
Xi appears to have hedged toward the latter, choosing to act now against Hong Kongās determined pro-democracy movement, and pushing the narrative that the West is behind it, before it became a real thorn in his side. Ā Hong Kong's new National Security Law, promulgated in Beijing this week and immediately enforced on the territory's streets, is a game changer. According to the UK, it breaks the 1984 joint Sino-British declaration of one country-two systems.

North Korea hasĀ blown up -- as in, completely destroyed -- an office used for talksĀ between itself and South Korea. If ever there were a sign that the relationship between the adversaries is deteriorating, this is it. The building has been closed for months due to theĀ COVID-19, but it was obviously a symbol of goodwill between the nations.Ā
North Korea says it decided to raze the office as yet another retaliatory measure against South Korea afterĀ defectors used balloons to send anti-North Korean leafletsĀ of the DMZ.Ā
The country recently announced it is cutting all ties with South Korea over the incident and will remilitarize parts of the Korean border that have been dormant for years. It's illegal -- and extremely risky -- for average North Koreans to consume literature or entertainment that's not approved by the government. Experts also suspect North Koreaās recent actions may be its attempt to gin up a crisis.
From July/August 2017: Mark Bowden on how to deal with North Korea
Unpredictability becomes an impediment to success when it interferes with orderly process. āSay youāre going to have an engagement with North Korea,ā a general who served under multiple presidents told me. āAt some point you should have developed a strategy that says,Ā Hereās what we want the outcome to be. And then somebody is developing talking points. Those talking points are shared with the military, with the State Department, with the ambassador. Whatever the issue might be, before the president ever saysĀ anything, everybody should know what the talking points are going to be.ā To avoid confusion and a sense of aimlessness, āeverybody should have at least a general understanding of what the strategy is and what direction weāre heading in.ā
āIf the president says āFire and brimstoneā and then two weeks later says āThis is my best friend,ā thatās not necessarily badābut itās bad if the rest of the relevant people in the government responsible for executing the strategy arenāt aware that thatās the strategy,ā the general said. Having a process to figure out the sequences of steps is essential. āThe process tells the president what he should say.Ā
When I was working with Obama and Bush,ā he continued, ābefore we took action, we would understand what that action was going to be, weād have done a Q&A on how we think the international community is going to respond to that action, and we would have discussed how weād deal with that response.ā
To operate outside of an organized process, as Trump tends to, is to reel from crisis to rapprochement to crisis, generating little more than noise. This haphazard approach could lead somewhere goodābut it could just as easily start a very big fire.
If the president eschews the process, this general told me, then when a challenging national-security issue arises, he wonāt have information at hand about what the cascading effects of pursuing different options might be. āHeās kind of shooting blind.ā Military commanders find that disconcerting.
āThe process is not a panaceaāBush and Obama sometimes made bad decisions even with all the options in front of themābut it does help.ā

Ā IRAN
As the US standoff with Iran hurtles forward, itās revealing some truths about us power, influence, and alliances. among them, is thatĀ AmericaĀ can no longer ensure the security of gulf oil shipping on its own, and thanks to domestic us oil production, it lacks the incentive to assume such a demonstrative Ā responsibility⦠ TheĀ standoff is not only a test of American power, or of T-Rumpās personal handling of a crisis situation, itās testingĀ T-RUMPS Ā entire foreign-policy doctrine of unilateralismā¦Ā

BRITAINĀ
Trumpās conversations with May, theĀ UK Prime MinisterĀ from 2016 to 2019, were described as "humiliating and bullying," with Trump attacking her as "a fool" and spineless in her approach to Brexit, NATO and immigration matters.Ā āHe'd get agitated about something with Theresa May, then he'd get nasty with her on the phone call," One source said.Ā ā Itās the same interaction in every settingĀ āĀ COVID-19Ā or BrexitĀ āĀ with just no filter applied. Ā She is retired and had enough of him, expressing her indignation at his tact. Ā

GERMANYĀ
Ā But his most vicious attacks, said the sources, were aimed at women heads of state. In conversations with both May and Merkel, the President demeaned and denigrated them in diatribes described asĀ ā near-sadisticāĀ by one of the sources and confirmed by others. Ā Ā āSome of the things he said to Angela Merkel are just unbelievable: he called herĀ āstupid,' and accused her of being in the pocket of the Russians.
