Let me see if I understand this. "the richest country on the planet does not have health care for all its people inclusively"? It's hard to believe most of our people condone pain for the poor. Where are your values towards others? The uninsured in this country is at 47 million - 50 million and we have those who would turn them away. They didn't ruin our economy, Washington's greed did.
AFGANISTAN
And we talk about Afghanistan being corrupt! True, it is alive and well laden with bribery, drugs, boy-child sex scandals, probably one of the most corrupt political systems on the planet. Fortunately for them, much of it is with the money from the U.S. which seems to be endless. We taught them everything we know: bribes, corruption, drugs, sex scandals from our leaders, and then financed the operation. And as in the case of one of our Congressmen a fascination with Senate pages.
THE PARTY OF NOTHING
"Whats happening in our country"? "NOTHING", said both Congressman Boehner and Senator McConnell! They were right, they are the cause of nothing, the party of nothing. He and McConnell with no frickin answers stonewalled and obstructed anything that could be passed. They just wasted almost two six years of our time and money. The result "our government is broken, corrupt and owned by big business and lobbyists. "We the people" is more like "Wee-Wee on the people"!
WRECONOMICS
The economy is broke, you stop manufacturing, you stop growing. When major U.S. firms and aquisitioned companies went broke or were in trouble, they went offshore on their employees. Thats what we were told. Really? They went offshore because of the profit margin and the stock growth. The increased revenues because of lower labor and regulatory rates went to the stockholders many of whom worked for the company. The top got paid, the bottom got laid. The stock market paid the rich with money taken from the middle class.
DEALING WITH THE DEVIL
Dealing with China is no better than dealing with the devil. We have merchandise on the shelves that is not made as well, dangerous (lead etc) to our children and homes (drywall). Thank Wal- Mart for killing Mom and Pop! And one job for every employee they have. Theres a million jobs right there.
Small businesses went broke, simply no one around to support them and the anti-productive government policies simply did not allow a fair fight. We lost. The whole theory of trickle down economics and support the rich to stimulate the economy backfired.
"We call this tinkle down economics". It is also closely tied with treaties we made with other countries which need a review which won't happen since so many in Washington are bribed by these foreign influences.
BUYING ELECTIONS - ROBERT'S RULES OF DISORDER
Now we have, courtesy of the SUPREMES, the courthouse full of great jurists with no common sense what amounts to legal donations from corporations in political battle. I call it treasonable. The rich are trying to buy their way in to politics with corporate and personal money. We had at the mid terms, Rick Scott for Governor and he won. Thank goodness for the 2nd amendment, and those chilling words by Charlton Heston.
By his encouragement, I cleaned my flintlock yesterday, first time in two hundred years. Now I got to find some gunpowder and marbles I suppose. Our supreme court is broke. Simple, Justice Roberts was Bush appointee. You deregulate financial electoral support and sell the country. Disgraceful! And Scalia and Thomas really need to be looked at too. Somethings amiss there, they are way too friendly with the right.
NUTS FROM THE WOODWORK
The Topeka, Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) is a small virulently homophobic, anti-Semitic hate group that regularly stages protests around the country, often several times a week. The group pickets institutions and individuals they think support homosexuality or otherwise subvert what they believe is God’s law.
When the "Primitive Baptist Wackadoo Clan" aka "the Phelps family - Westboro Baptist Church" denigrates a fallen heros funeral, they have stepped over the line. They go to the funeral, A Soldiers Funeral, with signs unfit for any occasion. How this is tolerated, this country is falling apart, I do not know. I think sometimes, I would like nothing better than to polish up my Ted Williams Louisville Slugger that has been stored forty years in my closet, next to my 200 year old flintlock which Charlton Heston told me to hang on to and I recently cleaned. Special thanks to friends, vets, fellow patriots in motorcycle organizations across the country who show up at these funerals to ward off the disrespect these animals show to our fallen heroes.
Recently the patriarch of the family, the head denigrator of this very sick clan died. I sent flowers, a beautiful bouquet of Ragweed, Belladonna, Some Ivy and Oak, and Scotch Broom.
TAX CODES
Our values are broke, soon you and I will be going broke. Tax reform is badly needed. The tax code supports the rich, not those who really need it. And the problem is the tax code is written by the wealthy for the wealthy and does nothing for the other 90% of the country. Unless we have the chutzpah to elect people of the middle class to represent us…. The answer is FLAT TAX.
BOTTOM LINE
We are a positive nation, and hope, faith, and a positive atttitude have always propelled us ahead of our situations and we have risen to the occasion. We are winners and we will take to task those who would oppose us. The American spirit, is based on liberty, with justice and freedom for all and should work for everyone – not just the privileged few.We are paying a price for the decade of decadence.
Too much of our money went for poor choices in energy, health care and education; Our jobs and in some cases our entire plants were shipped overseas while our corrupt politicians, wall street and mortgage lenders got rewarded for their efforts not redacted or remanded, meanwhile the middle class is shrinking forcing people in one direction and it's not up.
REFORM THE RULES
• No tenure / percentage pension - A congressman collects a salary while in office and receives a limited pension with maximums when they are out of office and retired. Providing they were not disgraced while in office by a conviction or any other bad behavior.
• Congress (past, present & future) participates in social security. - All funds in the congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the social security system, and Congress participates with the American people. Whats good for us should be good for them.
• Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. No privileged class. They are not volunteers, they are supposed to work and earn. When you tell me "We are the party of No". Then quit and go home, we pay you to solve problems, not to be the problem.
• Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise. raises should be a national referendum, voted on and approved by the people.
• Congress will participate in the same health care system as the American people and Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the American people.
• All contracts with past and present congressmen are void effective 12/31/2011. - The American people do not have a say in their contract with congressmen. Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in congress is an honor, should not be a slick gerrymandering career. The founding fathers envisioned citizen legislators, serve your term(s), then go home and back to work.
• No free rides - Do the crime - get the jail time. Violate your congressional oath, you get to meet and greet with Bubba.
